A New Director for the CFE!

From January 2017, Dr Marco Ceccarelli will be replacing Dr Michelle Jones as the Director of the Centre for Faith Enrichment. The CFE Team warmly welcomes Marco on board! For those who can’t wait for the new year to get to know Marco, here is some brief information about him!

Dr Marco Ceccarelli

With a passion for adult faith formation and knowledge of higher education, Marco is committed to offering those wishing to grow in faith an educational experience that prepares them to make informed decisions about real-world issues by drawing on the richness of the Catholic tradition. 

Marco has taught European history, literature and culture at The University of Western Australia, where he also completed a Master’s on radicalisation and nihilism in literature and a PhD on Catholic intellectual responses to terrorism. His research interests include Church history, Catholic social doctrine, interfaith dialogue, Catholic political thought, Jesuit scholarship, history of modern Europe, Western philosophy and literature. A former Journalist and Assistant Editor for the Archdiocesan Communications Office, Marco is committed to promoting the Gospel values of human dignity, freedom and peace.
