When he took the challenge to use his skills and personal story and struggles to paint the Stations of the Cross during Coronavirus-led restrictions period, the results were not only fourteen paintings, but also acceptance of his past. An accomplished artist with a passion for faith and culture, Reg will share with you his interpretation of the Stations of the Cross and how the challenges that Jesus encountered are reflected in his personal life journey. . Reg Carnamah and the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry Team
Reg is a proud Badimia Yamatji man from Yalgoo. His strong Catholic faith and role as a pastoral worker with Aboriginal Catholic Ministry (ACM) has been life-changing. He can connected with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in Perth through home and hospital visits, offering the both pastoral and spiritual support. Reg is also an acolyte and special Eucharist minister in the Catholic Church and an accomplished artist. He hopes that his artwork will enable an appreciation of many Aboriginal People. Reg’s dream is to inspire the Aboriginal people, especially younger men, on the positive impact that faith and culture can have on their lives.
