Over two workshops – ‘Reading the Signs of the Times’ through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching (CST) and thinking will be explored. This will be inclusive of the Six National Themes for Discernment for the 2020 Plenary Council and various social justice issues including the 2019/20 Social Justice Statement, Making it Real – Genuine Human Encounter in our Digital World. Session 1 will focus on Parish Social Justice Action Groups and incorporating social justice in other parish ministries. Session 2 will explore social justice action through parish hubs; and through a CST Book Club format. As St Mary MacKillop stated: “Never see a need without doing something about it” CEWA Ongoing Renewal: this course has been approved for Faith Formation.
