Adult Faith Foundational Programme – Part 2. Responding to the Call to Holiness

Face to Face and Online
Mondays 7th September - 21st September
7.00pm - 8.30pm (3 sessions)
Dr Margaret Scharf, OP
Newman Siena Centre (Clune Lecture Theatre) and ONLINE

The Second Vatican Council document, Lumen Gentium, tells us that “in the Church, everyone whether belonging to the hierarchy, or being cared for by it, is called to holiness, according to the saying of the Apostle: ‘For this is the will of God, your sanctification’”. As we come to know ourselves, this call makes itself more pronounced in our life. How do we respond to this call? How do we recognise those nudges of the Holy Spirit that direct us towards holiness? Over four terms, this four-part foundational programme will cover core topics of the Catholic tradition such as Church, the call to holiness, liturgy, sacraments, Scriptures and missionary discipleship. This course will be both ON-SITE and it will be live-streamed ONLINE. CEWA Ongoing Renewal: this course has been approved for Knowledge.
