Professor Anthony Kelly, CSsR
The Redemptorist Monastery, 190 Vincent Street, North Perth

In light of Pope Francis’ Laudato Si encyclical, the scope of Christian consciousness and responsibility is broadening: we cannot love our neighbour without loving our neighbourhood, and all its inhabitants. As we awaken to what the Pope has called the “care for our common home,” an element of moral conversion is required, along with other dimensions of conversion such as intellectual conversion and a readiness to dialogue with all the sciences that explore our earthly existence.
Based on the themes of Ecological Conversion, the Ecological Dimension of the Eucharist, and Hope for Creation, Professor Anthony Kelly will guide us through a Catholic understanding of faith and ecology and its implications for us as ‘earthly dwellers’.
