Christian-Muslim Relations: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

One Off Event
Friday 27th October
9:30am - 12:00pm
Fr Patrick McInerney
Newman Siena Centre (MOVED TO ROOM S.101 ON GROUND FLOOR)

Christians and Muslims together comprise over half of the world’s population, so if there is to be meaningful peace in the world, there must be mutual understanding between Christians and Muslims. Stereotypes of Islam create suspicion, yet Christians and Muslims share many beliefs, practices and values in common. Today, we need accurate information about Islam and Muslims so that we can recognise truth from error and goodness from wrong. Rev Dr McInerney’s presentation will explore the history of Christian-Muslim relations, look at the contemporary challenges, and search for new ways forward. Suggested donation $10.00.
