The Centre for Faith Enrichment, the adult faith formation agency of the Archdiocese of Perth, is currently offering a number of courses oriented towards the theme of Lent.
Two such courses are Online courses and may perhaps serve as initiatives which your parish could promote, or as enriching elements to your Lenten program.
The two brief courses, both of which will be run by Rev. Dr Charles Waddell, are:
This course relates the meaning the Book of Exodus to our own life journey towards the Promised Land.
The Gospel of Matthew
3 sessions, every Tuesday, 21 March – 4 April
Time: 7:30pm – 8:15pm
Suggested donation: $15
The course focuses on the Gospel of the Beatitudes found in Matthew and addresses Jesus’ invitation “Come to me all you who labour and are overburdened…” (Mt 11: 28-30).
How does it work?
Each week of the course, the presenter will send you, or a delegate, an email containing a link to the session. At the stipulated time, you can simply click on the link and you will be connected with the presenter. It’s that simple!
You can register by going on our website: http://cfe.org.au/courses-and-events/
The courses are perfect for parishes with an internet connection and a projector. Parishioners, and anyone else who is interested, can be invited to a venue within the parish where the class will be projected. This may also provide an opportunity for people to discuss the content of the lesson in the aftermath and reflect upon its meaning for them.
The classes are brief, cheap, as well as highly informative and captivating. We have had nothing but positive feedback about them so far. They will no doubt be of great assistance to those embarking on their Lenten journey this year.
